Burcu is a registered psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society and
Australian Association of Psychologists Inc.

She has had the pleasure to work with individuals across the lifespan from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. She has worked in a variety of areas including educational setting, a non-profit community organisation, Department of Human Services/ Department of Jobs and Small Businesses through an employment provider, and private practice.

Burcu BolatShe prefers to use a client-centred approach, and incorporates other evidence based therapies
such as:

  • cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT),
  • Interpersonal therapy (ITP),
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI),
  • play therapy,
  • solution focused therapy, and
  • relaxation therapy.

Burcu has expertise in and values the role of assessment of cognition, behaviour and academic/work functioning in determining the strengths and weaknesses of the people she works with.

In order to capture a holistic perspective she likes to take a detailed history during the intake
session. Following assessments, strategies and recommendation are developed to support areas of
weakness including behaviours of concern.
